Head north passing through many small towns and villages in Nayarit and Sinaloa on your way from Punta de Mita to Mazatlan.
Head north from Punta de Mita near Puerto Vallarta and follow the coast until you reach Mazatlan. This track passes through coastal nature reserves before heading a bit further inland through many small towns and kind of paralelling the toll road to Mazatlan.
